Picked up this UR 2pt Front strut bar from ToyotaBuzz since he's local to me. Looks barely used if at all. The bolts too look untouched.

ok everyone get ready for the whorring... center faces are back and im stripping them down for paint now, hopefully done by next week. In the mean time I assembled one rear to mock up the whole setup.

Didnt break out the SLR so crappy cell pics only but on to the sex...

Final sizing is 16x10 ~+13-15
6.5" Barrels .5" Faces 3" Lips
Tires will be 205/40/16

I am trying to get these center faces ready for paint, how do these mating surfaces look. Does it look like theyre shaved/stripped down enough to get a good seal? Anyone with experience sealing heads think these are good for a tight seal?

Yea those look fine, lay down some good silicone and you'll be good.

Make sure you use a new tube. Made the mistake of using a older one I had and they all leaked.

I barely scraped the old stuff off of one of dinoegg's and it sealed fine.

Make sure you seal up where the barrel/face/lip meet on the inside(where it's hidden by the tire) and maybe the inside of the wheel itself a little. You'll be far more likely to get leaks from that not being sealed up well.

im gonna finish the paint now that ive started that and then ill shave down the mating surfaces one more quick go around, make sure i get any overspray off as well and then ill start mounting them up

well that is different, are you going to make the rest of the car a neon color as well or just leave the contrast with the current color and those rims?

Micro Image forums, online store and shop are now closed. It was a great eight year run, but it was time to focus on other things. I'm still selling parts on eBay under micro*image seller ID and customers can still make requests for anything specific.
