2007 Generation 2 Toyota Yaris serpentine alternator belt tension squeal replacement
07 Yaris w/ AC serpentine belt. Examine the back of the belt w/ a strong flashlight. Particularly where it runs around the pulley that runs on the front of the belt. I'd clean up a new pulley w/ windex or something but never spray anything on the belt. Tighten if anything more than a chirp on the occasional cold start. Don't overtighten. Beware touching chain tensioner gizmo w/ prybar! Just replace the belt and then you have a spare...sorta inconvenient to be stuck along the road somewhere w/ you or no one able to just throw on a belt and get you going.
