Cool article! Yeah I'm pretty much in the same catagory. I don't have a Yaris but my ECHO got 49mpg and I wasn't even trying that hard. I have yet to break 50mpg barrier maybe when it gets warmer. I have an auto which is just as impressive, I've read other ECHO owners getting 50mpg if not more. I commute 40miles to work and back each day and I stay consistant at 65 on the highway and I do some of the stuff pointed out in the article, on adverage I get mid 40's so really good mileage. Damn I love my car!!

Yea, I've been driving my yaris kinda hard since I bought it. I've come from performance cars, like 400whp cars, but after my Acura was stolen, I decided to go economic and picked up a yaris. It's been hard for me to lay off that gas, but since I am shooting for 45mpg by summer, I need to start changing my habits.

After reading this thread and the other one about DFCO, I'm REALLY aiming for 45mpg. On a side note, I also watched "Who Killed the Electric Car?" documentary the same day I read the article and found cleanmpg.com, and it really makes me want to get a hybrid, like an old Insight or something.

Ya,that movie is really weird,I cant beleive they would do that to those cars, let them just sit there on the lot, then destroy them.
