haha I don't mind the bluntness at all. But reason why I asked is because when I'm flooring it hard (mostly when racing with some other car or something) my car sounds like it's going way past 6500rpm for a redline. My hearing would tell me at least 7000-7500 or maybe 8000rpm because from my knowledge the automatic Yaris won't allow the driver to get any gear past redline. Correct me if I'm wrong

The revs start bouncing at 6500 RPM in liftbacks. It just sounds higher because its a buzzy little bee factory of an engine.

Yes they do... stepper motor tachs... very good and very expensive. Sard tachs are good as well, and as long as we are talking about spending serious dough on metering equipment... might as well mention Smiths.

hehe I'm just looking for a Japanese brand for tachometers. I've been looking with not much for results. links would be nice if any have found some.

p.s. I have no loyalty to this website, infact, i'm sure it's a rip-off... I'm just lazy and this is the first thing to come up. |

I never installed my tach. It's still in the box on my bookcase. I've been debating between this tach I got and a foreign stock cluster with the tach in it.
