So it is that easy ?
Example: I tap the White & Green from Connector C13 on the 2005 ( # 2 ) to White & Green on the 04 Pig Tail C13 ( # 2 ) and so on B - Black R - Red Y - Yellow W - White L - Light blue O - Orange Br - Brown G - Green V - Violet color1-color2 = Color1 with color2 stripe For RPM Signal is it right to say I tap the Black wire from the OBDII port to pig tail # 15 on the C13 Connector on the 2005 ? As of Hi/Low Beam I just have to find the positive wire from the Hi/Low switch and send the signal to #15 on the C13 connector from the 2005 Pig Tail ? If it is right I'll try to do that this week end. Thanks a zillion times for helping me on this. |

^Exactly. With that extra set of pig tails it really is not bad at all.

Decided to give it a try tonight ( Thursday April 10 ) .
I'm not good with electricity and wires so just for people to know , numbers on the pigtails are when you are facing them. Took my RPM signal on the Black wire on the OBDII port. Because I wanted to shrink all connections , I had to cut my 04 Harness to be able to slide a shrink tube on it and solder the 05 harness on the 04. Et voila . Now with RPM A big thank to CTScott who gave me all info and diagram to do that , without him I would have never been able to do that because I suck in electricity. Your pin numbers were right on but there is some typo on some color on your chart so if someone else do that just follow the pins and connector's number and it will work at your 1st attempt. I just have to wire the Hi/Low indicator and I'll take the cluster back off to remove the Blue indicator when the car is cold. I had removed it on the 04 cluster. It is annoying. I didn't take the car out but everything appears to be working. Last edited by mpcv2000; 04-11-2014 at 05:13 AM. |

Nice. Which wire colors did I have the typos on, so I can fix the chart for the next person crazy enough to give it a shot?

05 w/tach color , pin numbers are right on.
04 w/o tach pin numbers are right on and the color should be the same as the 05 . Don't forget that I have a Canadian car so it can be different than in the USA but every pin number you gave me on the 04 & 05 were color match , each and every one of them. I had to cut 31 wires on my main harness and the merge I did with the pig tails were all color matched. I'd say it was a easy project. Thanks a lot for your help. |

Seriously.. everything works out of the box? It took 3 attempts in 8 years before someone made it to work properly?
Did you also check your speed vs GPS? btw, you may want to try to reregister on clubecho-yarisquebec.. |

The only thing I haven't done yet is the Hi-Low Beam wiring , I may do it later on when I'm bored and yes everything works like if it came like that from the factory. I haven't check with a GPS but I don't see why speed should be different |

I have to add that without CTScott I would not have been able to make it work so easily.

My bet is that they messed up the ground connection for the speed sensor to cluster connection. Based on the specs for the signal output in the service manual, there should not be a difference between the two.

I don't have stock tire size so it may read off a little because of that. Here's what I have : Nitto NeoGen 205/50R15 It's right on. Now I want some disk brake on the rear . What is my best option ? Budget is between $600.00 to $1000.00 . I have Goggled it a little on it but nothing "easy to grab" came up really. |
