Well its very easy to change the filter. If you want to extend your drain interval you can just simple go under the car and remove the filter and install a new one. You will only loose like a quarter of quart of oil at most.

This is a legal statement from ASHLAND CHEM CO, they are vunerable for libel charges and loss of buisiness if false. I have found qualitatively a batch to batch variation on mineral oils I like, varying from: "kill the motor piss " to "wow, this is better than ANY SYN IVE USED". So I believe the is absolutre crap on the shelves waiting for you to snatch up. If you have ever worked in manufacturing environmen, you will know what I mean. Crap goes out the door ALL the time not meeting spec. And us, being ignorant consumers are not too savvy and dont have a 10 million dollar test lab to verify the quality, so too bad mama ...

If the oil filters all cost the same then use the one with more filtering capacity,odd that the engineers that designed the engine didnt recommend the larger capacity filter given that the price is about the same
