Just switched to Geico .. I don't have the best of driving records so I pay a steep price being here in NY. I'm now paying $228/month for 4 months this semester (with a 1 month down payment of $313). Deff. saved a bunch of cash though because this is with the 240SX also (was paying $259/month with just the one car previously).

best thing you can do is shop around online. companies will give everyone different premiums based on age, credit, driving record, area, etc. went from a 6 month premium of 1400 to 600 just by shopping around.

I pay $93/month total for full coverage on both my Yaris and my wifes 06' Civic. South Dakota rocks for insurance rates.

I'm 21 and pay 130/month for my 07 Yaris Sedan, 95 Ford Taurs and 87 Toyota 4-Runner. The Yaris is the only full coverage. In Colorado.
It's crazy how much you will pay for insurance, the Yaris has minimal HP. |

I don't think i'm gonna go with FULL Coverage again. way too much for me.
it is a good idea to have not full coverage for your car? I'm thinking about remove the medical fees too see how much it will go down. |

Insurance.
Hey guys,
I'm a insurance agents in Washington State. Believe me paying the additional premium for the full coverage is worth it. I'm not going to tell you what to do, but use google to do your research. Enter insurance for young drivers. Good luck. FYI: Your insurance rate has little to do with the Yaris, its all age and credit history. Again good luck. Rwseattle |

I pay around $1200 for 500k/1mil, 1 of 2 company cars (it's $20 more per year than the coverage on my 2002 Modi Suzuki with same coverage). Progressive ( saved 22% over Geico).

I'm with Safeco...
can't wait to get away from them though. Currently I'm at $1147.40/year for full coverage with the state minimums. That breaks to $95.62/month on my 2004 Dodge SRT-4 which is being traded in on Monday night for a 2007 Yaris S. The cost per year on the Yaris S for me is $1012 which includes vehicle replacement for a year and gap coverage after that...whereas I don't have that now. That breaks to $84.33/month. That coupled with lower gas prices (regular versus premium), lower car payments, by $100/month ($16someoddK for 72 months with $0 down, hey! It's a Toyota, it'll last forever!) and higher gas mileage by 2x. The maintenance will be included in the contract as well, at least for 4 years, so no out of pocket costs So, I'd say since I'm trying to save some money until the wife gets out of dental school, the Yaris will do just fine for me...as long as I stay out of the engine bay. ...I do have to upgrade the "Big 3" and replace the factory battery though... Sorry, sound quality guy. :) Dang Peter! That Thule rack on top of your liftback is almost bigger than your car! Sort of funny. You should make it look like a little missile launcher for the hell of it on Halloween or April fools day.

That's about right, man. I'm in Georgia, 24, no tickets in 5 years, and the cheapest I could find was $1992 a year for full coverage.

I'm paying 1900 CAD with an accident at fault 4 years ago. I asked for quotes on Yaris and Corolla and the Corolla was actually cheaper.

i pay over 3k a year for myself and my wifes car, most of it is for me though.
because I had one accident last year when someone slammed their brakes on me for no reason then fled when she realised she had been hit. now only progressive will insure me for under 4k a year. 1 accident, age 23,no tickets. 07 4 door white sedan, and a 05 silver chevy aveo.
