well , the YARIS now has 0% financing for 36 months ( saving hundreds of $ compared to a 3.9% loan or > , kinda like a rebate ) . So , that tells me that sales are slower due to the economy ( layoffs , less risky loans , etc. ) , weather conditions , upcoming holidays followed by tax time ( less $ to buy car ) , the lowering of gasoline , etc.. We've been to several TOYO dealer lots and their YARISes are not selling as quick . I know that after 3 months the cars they purchase have to be paid for ( bank loans ) , so profit margin starts to slip .

toyota is tricky , showed the YARIS during the t.v. commercial for 0% . That's . But at their website no mention of the 0% for it . Makes me less of a fan for TOYOTA .

quite aware of the reason to move the '08s . The new T.V. commercial by TOYO does not suggest this . So , looks like all YARIS .

You CAN get an 08 Yaris right now until Jan/09 with 0%apr. for 36 months.
I am looking at them. I would get an 08 before an 09 to save on the interest but I'm still learning about them. |

Interesting...a dealer I've been haggling with in my area just called me yesterday to mention that the Yaris is now offering 0%, OR $500 cash back.
Didn't ask him whether that was for 08s or 09s. Eric |

the '08s only ...
For N.Y. state it's the '08 Liftback and sedan , not any of the '09s . In PENNSYLVANIA it's only the '08 sedan . None of the '09s . So , it varies by region for the '08 model . All 09s are excluded for the U.S.. WHAT A BUMMER ! Otherwise would consider trading in the '08 2 door L.B. for the '09 4 door Liftback .

confirmed...the dealer "forgot" to tell me that the cash back/0% APR was for 08s, not 09s.
I don't like dealers... Eric |

The new Versa pricing should help...$9999 advertised on tv. I'm still waiting.
