its all where you come from...we had a 1991 n/a diesel golf...54hp when new. an echo looks pretty friggin' good.
we bought a loaded 2016 golf sportwagen highline....every time i use it to commute, i groan getting back into my 2004 echo, lol. @toad, we're moving to grand rapids, MI in a couple weeks and i've contemplated starting an import business to bring cars that you can't get in the US into the country from canada. id like to get a micra SR as it looks the sharpest. FOR THE RECORD, my 04 canadian echo hatchback is dimensionally smaller in L/W/H than the mirage hatchback

Personally, I can't stand it. Nothing attractive about it to me.

Ahahaha. I recently went on a trip to watch Pacquiao vs Horn at Suncorp Brisbane, Australia. I live in Sydney that's about a distance of 990 KM.
But on the way back to Sydney i saw this little mirage overtaking SUV on the motorway with ease it intrigued me so i followed it with my KIA SPORTAGE 2 ltr turbo. I had to really open up the throttle to keep up with it lol.hmmm It was overtaking trucks, Suvs, compact cars and an old lady was driving and her man friend probably son in the passenger. |

Really cool that you were able to attend that fight live. I'm a huge boxing fan and haven't seen Pac live. Thinking about seeing Cotto next month.

I don't think the new design has made it to Canada yet but I was recently in Europe and got to see the all new Micra. Really liked how it looked in person which sort of surprised me because it is a weird combo of swoopiness and angularity, 2 opposite and overdone design trends IMHO, yet somehow it works here. One thing that really stands out is the increase in size. The Micra is no longer micro. It is now about the same size as a 3rd gen Yaris. (At least to my eyes, I did not actually measure it.) If this Micra ever made it to America (it won't) and I was looking for a new car (I'm not) it would definitely be on my test drive list.

Size-wise its similar to my echo hatch. For interest, my echo is technically smaller in length, width, and height that the mirage hatchback
Canadian micra looks like this in SR trim. A bit simpler in base guise

I actually like the Canadian SR better than the Euro version. The front half on the Euro is OK, but what's with the funky door handles in the rear and the 'place to set your coffee' tail lights(too many cars doing that now)? Just give me the SR in Red and call it a day!

I agree on the taillights. They are the one thing I most dislike about the car. Overall however I think it looks sharp.

Nice looking car, overall, IMO. Nissan should be selling that in the USA, instead of their uninteresting, homely Versa. Sucks how the U.S. has a crap-market for smaller cars, either in offerings, or how they choose to equip/support those offerings.
In regards to the taillights, I find them far better looking (and the rear-end in general) than what they are putting on the 2018 U.S. Yaris. Last edited by Kalispel; 07-05-2017 at 09:12 PM. |

I think the design really works... so much better than the 2018 Yaris.

The Nissan Pulsar, which we also don't get, is even better!
