What is clutch chatter? How can I tell if my car has it?

I upgraded my stock clutch at 54k miles and both it and the flywheel looks to be in really good shape. Thought it had been part of my issue however learned my issue was actually 2nd and 3rd gear already being worn.

213k on my original clutch even though I abuse it.
Going to the TRD upgrade in about a week although I could go longer on this clutch...

Noise and vibration upon letting the pedal up. You can have clutch chatter but if you are careful, you can eliminate it almost entirely.

Interesting. I've always felt I've needed to use a little extra touch when going into 2nd. Since I first got the car, I felt like if I just pulled it into 2nd, it wouldn't grind, but it didn't feel great. I got in the habit of finding the sweet spot where it would slide in smoothly.
