What kind of car is that?
|
To put it simply it connects at the top of the rear suspention bracing it when the car takes a turn
It helps distribute weight more evenly

rarer than JDM -1 of 1!

Get a quick-release tab for your car, and you can remove the rear STB whenever easily!

well personally, and it is what i did do, lower it first (df210s). then i did the trd rear anti-sway,then front UR strut bar, now the miracle bar. i noticed a handling difference in a positive way with every one of those mods. IMO as long as the strut bar is SOLID with no joints, it will be functional. i wont get a rear bar though as i have the miracle bar.

what weight is it distributing, considering SHOCKS do not support weight of the vehicle?

the weight being thrown around
the shocks do take weight being added threw a turn, as do the springs which is why they are all a part of the same cluster and compress together if your shocks are blown your ride is horrible and you hear loud slams when you hit pot holes or go over speed bumps if it doesn't support any weight why would that happen?

have you ever pushed on a shock? it resists your pressure. but it won't support weight. if i carry a metal bucket full of bolts in the back of my car, and drive over bumps, it makes a loud slamming noise too.. does that mean that the bucket of bolts is supporting the weight of my car?

[QUOTE=Tamago;255331]the shocks are NOT the same part of the "cluster" in the rear, as you say.
have you ever pushed on a shock? it resists your pressure. but it won't support weight. Shocks do transmit force. This will affect frame or strut rigidity. |

so you are saying that it does not resist body flex or distribute the weight/FORCE more evenly?

it attaches to the shock.. in one place... only the shock has a rubber grommet between it and the body the bar pivots on both ends... so no. it can't distribute force.. it bends like spaghetti when forces act on it.

My car tends to wobble and sway on the highway at high speeds.... I was told putting a front strut bar on would be a good investment..... is this true and what could I get for a good price and where?
Thanks a lot. ps: suspension is stock.

I added a front strut bar to the toaster, it was super cheep, and it looks better than it preforms
my $50 investment in hub adapters/spacers yielded a much better performance gain... that and awesome tires
