dunno but if you are not going too low you can run those 205/50/16, more rubber on the road and more cushion for bumps and more filling in the gap

Hyper black! I choose flat black for my car but really wished the rims I wanted had been available in hyper.

Hyper black for me!
It depends on the brand of tire, but here's what I've found generally to be the case with Yaris wheel/tire fitment up front: FR, 16x7, ET38, 205's, sidewall may poke out just a tad. FR, 16x7, ET40, 205's, sidewall may be about flush. FR, 16x7, ET42, 205's, sidewall may be slightly tucked. If you run the same wheel/offset and rubber in the rear, then you will be tucked by about 1/2" more in the rear than the front. In the rear, you can run spacers, or staggered offsets, or wider tires; these are common Japanese fixes to achieve the "perfect fit" you're looking for. |

Ok, I am about to make this final! I am going to go with 16x7 +42 and run a 205/50. If anything I can space the front and rear if need be. With a +33 I would have no options to tuck. Thanks for all the input! Oh yeah, Hyper Black FTW! Thanks again!

Apparently the supplier 5Zigen uses to do the special "hyper black" job is shutting down shop and they will be unavailable until around February or so... but lucky for me I ordered up the last set in hyper black from www.e-wheelz.com . Talked with a guy named Vic and he was very helpful, I recommend this company thus far. He even did a price match for me saving about $150 total!!!

16x7, ET42, 205/50 is an excellent choice. That is exactly what I would run given the options you have.
You can always run some good hubcentric spacers in the rear if you're going for that perfect fitment. |

+42's will be fine.... those hyper blacks would look killer with the blazing blue.... I am normaly an all black wheel fan, but that would be a nice combo

I really wanted the newer Falken FK-452 tires but I am impatient and didn't want to wait 3 weeks. So, I ended up getting the Nitto NeoGen VR tires. Anyone have any experience with these?

not a big nitto fan, but I have checked them out in a while so they may have some better stuff now..... I am running Kumho ASX's right now and love em, expecially since they were only $67 each mounted balanced w/nitrogen

I've run a few sets of Nittos and loved them: great handling and predictability, and surprisingly good even wear.
Whatever tire you go with, you may want one designed with a rim protector in the lower sidewall to safeguard your cherished alloy wheels against curb rash. |
