Here's a wet blanket for ya: I checked with the Insurance guys on this, and they told me that replacing the wheel with an aftermarket unit WILL affect any personal coverage. In other words, if youi rearrange your face on a non-stock wheel, you get to pay for face repairs: not covered! Your company may (or may not) have the same reg in place. If I were you, I would check...

I never checked my insurance cause I figured it was a give away that they wouldnt be cool with it. But I've got my stock wheel back on now so in good. Only thing I miss is how small my aftermarket wheel was.

I am just curious.. once I remove the airbag, disconnect the electrical cables, and unscrew the 19 (or 17 mm not sure) nut.. would I be able to remove the wheel from the splines without the special removing tool? (just with my arms)

Yes. If you watch my video in the link on the first page, you'll see how easily it pulls off without a puller. You just grab the wheel, wiggle it a little and pull straight back, and it pops right off.

You will have to check the stored code for the SRS to see why it is coming back on.
