The US MR Spyder comes with the C56 tranny. I know the tranny housing on that car is different to the C56 from the Vitz but maybe the internals can be swapped???

You might need an extra gearshift into third to get the car past 60mph, though. It might not be faster against the clock.

On the drag strup, it may not be any faster, but on the roadcourse it would probably be better with shorter gearing and/or final drive. 2nd is a tall gear to get the car moving to highway speeds, and use 3rd for passing.
