I'm serosuly considering this and don't mind cutting some of the metal tray as long as it still works. Just wondering if you used any management unit when using this, and if you needed new injectors?... If not what AFR did it run.
oh, and any CEL light/limp ever? I know im asking questions that might not relate to the yaris, but hey... Last edited by Nexus1155; 03-04-2009 at 04:34 AM. |

i was running tC injectors, they were about 60% duty cycle at WOT, full boost and high rpm (so plenty of fuel) AFR's were between 12:1 and 11.1:1 depending on air temperature. remember, THIS IS NOT A SHINY BOLT ON KIT!!!!! i made this kit out of left over downpipes, exhaust systems from at least 3 different cars (Subaru forrester downpipe, Mitsubishi Evo turboback, and piping from a toyota tundra) the welds are not pretty (but are strong) and the uppipe is NOT optimized for power. my previous plan was to build an equal length manifold to replace the cast piece+uppipe but i realized that all that work would go to waste, because no one would want to pay $$ for a manifold that put the turbo smack dab into the wiper tray lol.

can you tell me what codes you got?
I mean it might not be pretty, but it worked right? thats all that really matters... did you get any knock at all with this kit, im assuming the intercooler prevented it... |

no cats = PO420
too rich = PO702? (or close to that I recall) Same exact ones I got with my untuned turbo system! Can't see the mani in your pic -- post a couple more? I think you can sell that thing.

the cast piece would of course benefit from a good port/polish job

I just posted about it to new member that was looking to boost with the Zage kit and referred him/her to you instead if you want to get rid of it. We'll see.

it's pretty functional! and in my eyes that is a win!
the intercooler piping/placement is a huge win. surprised you didn't try and test mount it in russell (charge pipes anyway) while he was at the shop. |
