i think mead has the right idea here.
credit given for going your own way with it and doing what you want to do. not for me, but gotta pay a little respect at least to those who are willing to be adventurous and not worry about every other yaris... rock on man!

thank you ryota that is the entire point in modding a car to personalize it to fit your tastes. So don't flame on my originality.

It doesnt matter what people say or think. If you like it then do it. If you want a bird catcher sticking out of your hood do it.
I like it btw. though I probably would've done a 1/2 inch spacer. |

I used to have my hood like this for my skyline. It makes the car look more mean, with cars that have long bonnets. Otherwise i wouldnt do it on my yaris cause i didnt notice any temperature differences.. But each and their own. Keep up the originality.

Metric fasteners equal to US grade 8 are metric grade 10.9 +1 > NA engines perform better when they're kept hot yes, engine hot, intake air cool is how to run. these engines run on heat if it was all ceramic and you could keep the motor operable at 500 degrees it would love it. for the current motor, it would have a fine time running at 240 deg if the cooling system was sound and doesn't pop a hose due to neglect. Kudos for trying something new!
I don't care for the mod. Also wonder what its doing for aerodynamics in rain and at highway speed, but not a big deal either way. At the same time, I never saw anything even remotely close to flaming from anyone on this thread, so take it a bit easy when people voice criticism; you did post it here, after all. |
