wow I haven't seen anything like that in a while, probably would need to make some kind of a base for it to make it look flush but you could probably make it work

For something completely different, I used a golf ball and just drilled it to size. Don't even need to tap threads as golf balls have a rubber center, and so thread on with a little persuasion. I went this route after finding the 'ball' type shift-knobs available were a little too big for my comfort...

Did you have any fitting issues? I thought that TRD leather shift knob was setup only for the manual tranny. Let me know because that is the one I like the best. Thanks! Looks awesome BTW

There are two TRD shift knobs in that style. One has the manual markings; that's for the manual. The one without the markings is for auto.

Do you happen to know the part #'s or have a picture of the two for comparison?

Auto

Manual

As you can see, the auto looks JUST LIKE the manual except there is a silver part on the bottom. I assume that silver part is for changing the thread size.
I don't have the US part number as it doesn't exist for the USDM. However JDM part number for the auto is 33504-SP005.

BTW, that TRD leather shift knob looks to be identical to the one my father has on his new Tacoma (minus the TRD emblem). I was admirimg it the other day when I was driving with him. He said if it fit my Yaris, I could exchange with him. Lucky for me it fit, so now I have a nice new leather shift knob!

Don't quote me; but I would assume they are the same knob. The auto version only has the collar to make it end neatly as the auto doesn't butt up against a shift boot like on manual. I could be wrong though, but it seem sot make sense to me cosmetically.

The auto shaft is thinner than the manual. If I remembered correctly, the auto is 9mm and the manual is 12mm.
