Well my time with Bambo is coming to an end. Today I took him to what I beleive was his first install. He was quite happy to sit back and watch my cruise control kit that I bought from TRD Sparks Toyota (thanks to this forum).
In this photo you can see all the wires and the install manual pdf from TRD Sparks Toyota. Here's Bambo really getting into it. An after install photo. Another angle. On a side note i'm really happy with this unit, it's very smooth when you use it. The guy who did the install ($200AUS) has a Yaris of his own and installed a different cruise control kit on his. It cost him $600 AUS and he was very surprised that the TRD Sparks Toyota kit was much cheaper and was a better setup. Here's a pic with Bambo on the installers Yaris. The installer loves doing track days and for that he has this. A (1986-1988) Holden (GMH) VL Calais 5.0 Litre Turbo. Bambo had never seen a car like this one before. Here it is from behind. The installer also took out my broken Trombe Stebel Nautilus air horn, we tested it on a electrical workbench and it still would not work, so the theory of the stock horn relay not being able to handle the 18amps it needed was wrong. The horn had water inside it and even rust next to one of the terminals. I really have no idea how water could get to it where it was. I had the installer move the location of the horn. I'll post a pic tomorrow.

Bambo is still with me. I have just one more place to take him before I send him on. Be patient, it will be worth the wait.

Well today I took Bambo on his last trip Down Under today. I thought I’d go for a long drive and get a real chance to use my cruise control that Bambo tagged along with me on the install. We started off from Box Hill and drove to Healesville, approx an hour drive away.
The reason behind the trip was to get Bambo to experience some real Australian fauna. So I took him to the most logical place to see some Aussie animals. The Healesville Sanctuary (Zoo) has many native Australian animals. If any of you decide to visit Melbourne, Australia, this is one place you must see. Here is Bambo at the entrance with another giant stuffed animal. At first he was a little scared, but in the end he was happy to have his picture taken with the giant koala. Here is Bambo in the mouth of a giant statue of an eagle. After checking out the giant koala and the eagle Bambo was eager to get inside and see some real animals. So I paid at the entry point and let Bambo check out the map so he could decide where he wanted to go first. After a quick look Bambo wanted to see an Emu. I have included some links just in case you would like to learn more about the animals. Next on Bambo's list was a Koala. Here is Bambo looking at a Koala (They are not bears). Next on Bambo's list was a Kangaroo. Here is Bambo with a Red Kangaroo. Next on Bambo's list is....... Anyone know what this animal is? Nope, wrong, it's not a Kangaroo, it's a distant cousin of the Kangaroo, it's a Rock Wallaby. Here's Bambo checking it out. Next on Bambo's list was a Tasmanian Devil. Here is Bambo before he goes into the "Devils Playground" to see some Tasmanian Devils. Yes there really is a creature called the Tasmanian Devil. Warner Brothers have had a cartoon character called Taz for years. Unfortunately they are nocturnal creatures and were all sleeping when we visited the enclosure. Here's what a Tasmainain Devil looks like. Next on Bambo's list was an echidna. Here's Bambo checking out an echidna. No Bambo's were harmed during the making of this post. We finished up at the Healesville Sanctuary and went on a drive to Croydon. Bambo wanted to tag along with me and my wife at bingo. Here's a pic with Bambo with one of the YarisWorld cards I put on other Yarii I see in car parks. Here's Bambo checking out a vanilla slice (A custard desert with pastry on the top and bottom and vanilla icing on top) Here's Bambo all set up for bingo with he's bingo sheets and dabber. Bambo was getting close to winning a few times, but the trip to the zoo really made him tired and he started getting restless and yawning so I bought him a red bull and he came back to life. Unfortunately Bambo, me and my wife did not win at bingo. That is pretty much the end of my time with Bambo as it’s time to forward him onto Black Yaris. I must say I’ve had a great time with the little guy and hope you all enjoyed my pictures with him.

I'm a little sad Bambo is all packed and sent. Anyone wishing to track his progress just click here and then click on "go" next to the shipping number.
Just a word of warning to people his postage (Registered Post International) came to $43.05! It should take 7-14 days for Bambo to arrive. So Bambo is now on his way to Black Yaris in Toledo, Ohio, USA and we all look forward to his next adventure.

A box, bubblewrap and an address is all Bambo needs. He has his sunnies and photo album to look at.
