it will be emisions legal, and it is just a muffler changeout, a cat-back system replaces all of the piping from the backside of the cat, and leaves the factory cat intact

yea i agree. 3hp for just an axleback is really good. now if you wanted to go hardcore and change out the the rest of the system, youd probably yield a lot whole lot more..

Yeah, that would be really sweet if you could get a sound clip.

From the looks of it, If you want a Cat-back system for the yaris, you will need to break out the tube saw and break some emissions laws (at least in CA) as the piping is not bolted to the car, it is one seamless pipe running all the way back to the axle, where the muffler is bolted on with about 2 feet of piping.

ok, since there's 3 requests in a row I'll break out the video camera and make a clip, may take me a few days to find the time, but I'll get something posted soon.

Ok, here's a clip from inside the car with the windows open.
http://www.toddhata.com/cars/images/tanabe.wmv I took some video from outside the car but this damn humidity screwed up the video camera, gotta clean the heads now. I'll try again another time, but this gives you an idea of the sound. How does the clip sound on real speakers? I just have my laptop and it doesn't sound anywhere close to the real thing, give me some feedback of sound quality. |

Hahahahahahahaha!
That sounds like one bad-ass Yaris. Man oh man, I can't wait to get one of these. Sound quality is good. I've got a desktop with Harman Kardons. Don't kill yourself trying to get better. |

rasp is something that can be amplified through mediocre vid quality paired with laptop speakers (which practically amplifies high pitched noises by not letting low frequencies come through)...
whatever? in other words, if there was rasp at all, it would've been amplified and we would've heard it. and by listening to it... it sounds friggin great. good choice in exhaust setup. i may not be a fan of the looks (i'd just tuck it in more), but it sounds top-notch and it proven to give more power... 3 hp is a lot for an axle-back on 100 hp engines!
