Isn't that plastic "manifold" just the shield for the real intake manifold?

The stock one is plastic, no metal underneath and it's not a cover.

Here is a after-market aluminum one.

thanks, i was just curious. i was planning on going turbo in a year or 2.

speaking of. i got the new numbers on my base dyno off a "dyno jet" instead of the "dyno dynamic".. u guys were right.. i will only use dyno jet for my dyno graphs from now on. thanks again

Thx for all the compliments guys & sorry for my delay in responding I was @ the SEMA show in Vegas for the last week. On the max boost of the manifold topic, Iv gone as high as 10psi.....

Looks real nice, tidy too except for the battery being covered doesn't that make it slightly more difficult to replace?
