I wanted yellow fogs and bought these.
AVOID THEM!!! The light from them goes everywhere but on the road. I ended up junking them, buying a kit from kargoboy and a can of Van's yellow fog paint. I'm very happy now. kargoboy's kit is much better quality. |

Maybe a dumb question, but is there any change in the fog lights for the 09 model year?
That one link for Kargoboy says 07-08 only. Can't remember if I read something before the hack about the 09's being different somehow? Being that my car is brand new, I am leery of taking it apart just yet. Is that DYI for the fog lights still around or was it lost in the hack? I can't find it right now.

The fog light shrouds (the black plastic pieces that are around the fog lights) are not the same shape as the fog light shrouds on the '07 / '08 LBs.

Thanks for the reply IsLNdbOi. Didn't realize that the front bumper was
that much different or the need for different shrouds. You must me one of the gurus?? Do you have a writeup or pics of your install with the stalk? |

Hehe. Not a Yaris Guru. I did own an '07 LB and now an '09 so I know that the shrouds are different.
I didn't save that fog light stalk install thread so you'll have to see if you can find a cached copy of it w/ Google. OR Hydro-sweep can come in and repost it if he's still around. Also, I don't remember if he uploaded the install pics. on YW or if he linked to them from a site like imageshack, but if he uploaded them on YW then all the pics. will be gone even if you find a cached copy of it w/ Google. I hope he does repost it because I plan on installing fogs on my new '09 as well. |

Cool. Can anyone confirm whether the North American Sedan's fog light shrouds will fit the '09 LBs?

Anyone know how much a dealer would charge to install some fog lights on a 2008 in the US?

The dealer install instructions say two hours to accomplish the job. Given that dealers charger ~$75/hr labor, it would be at least $150...which is not worth it since it really isn't beyond the capabilities of your average backyard mechanic!
Here are some good instructions. Cheers! M2 |
