I think this is true and if the dealer can do it which I think they don't you will still be converting to KPH One more thing I know this is an awesome mod for much but My cars are both 07 production 06 so I don't know about newer versions or the new clusters that have came out, I'm just talking about what i got

when I spoke to the tech at toyota he said that they could do the ML in the new cluster, I asked him because I told him that I was planing on getting it cheaper somewhere else and he said that it would be fine to take it there and fix it... well that's at least this dealership dunno about any others...

RagnaCaT: do you really need a calculator ? you'll be driving in metric. Change your oil at every 8000km.
I also just remembered that you guys in the States have this OIL CHANGE WARNING LIGHT. You will never see it again in your life with the Canadian cluster. anubisx99: it is not legal in Canada to alter what the cluster is showing in the odometer. The very few times i've seen a dealer swapping a cluster (just once actually, on a honda civic haha) They actually put a sticker in the engine bay with the mileages the car was at when the cluster was reset (ie, new cluster) just a side note, please don't be offended: if so many of you guys SOOOOOOOO want to swap that cluster, please, don't be a pussy, and DO IT.. You will find out if your dealer can reconfigure your cluster. Oh btw, do you believe they will set it to the mileage you tell them? I'm quite sure you will have to spit the extra money for THEM to swap it, so that they have a proof that you are not lying... |

Hey thanks haven't had the time to look that up! 8000km let me write that down thanks for doing my homework! also whats the convesion "mph X ?=kph" And yes I already read that CDM clusters do not have the oil change indicator Not to worry antway cuase I use TRIP B for that and always change my oil by 4,500miles.

well.. not really... my maintenance manual says 8000km. And have been reading that you guys had to do it at every 5000miles.
i'm guessing there's no math to do right ? |

I have a Canadian RS and the speedometer has the miles on the inner ring so check yours and use the inner ring as your guideline. 100km = 60 miles and we generally change our oil at 5000 km's = 3,000 miles (old school). Now newer cars say 8,000 km's = 5,000 miles. Just take the Miles you want to go and times by 1.6 and you have the KM's you need to drive at.
