Traded in the Explorer with 195,000 miles on it. I am sure the Yaris is good for more than that. Really tempted with the new 5 door though.

Til it cost more to fix the car than what the car is worth, basically til the wheels fall off. I have almost 20K miles and it not even one year old, it will be that one Dec 27. (day I bought it home).

I'd like to keep mine for at least 10 years, mile wise I guess that's like 100-120k miles. No big deal since my last car was 110k miles and 16 years old. I honestly don't mind driving an old car, it's old but at least its yours, not the banks car while you still pay it off.

So after 10 years I'll get whatever is pretty green AND economic. I'm sure electric cars will be more popular and common by then, but it really is all about how much it'll cost me.

Hmm, only had mine for 6 months and have already racked-up more than 8k

Guess I would have to say 100k or 8 years, whichever comes first

But then again, I don't even wanna think about giving it up to begin with

Hmmmm you said those yesterday? Did the wind direction change??

Although you meant to mock and insult me, I am actually flattered that you took the time out of your life to read and cross-reference all of my posts. The fact that you think about me so much and soend so much time researching me is actually quite flattering.

You have direction like a fart in a windstorm! The wind changes and you change!

Do you think I don't remember what I have read and where to find it?

How many miles do you have now?

I thought I was going to keep mine for a very long time, but then I sold it in under 2 years and 30,000 miles. I would have kept it if it had 4 doors, a manual tranny, and the split rear seat. Now I look at the 2009's with those options, they are expensive.

Look man, I mean no harm. I am just curious why you care so much? Why can't you just let me post in peace, and leave it at that? Why do you have to try to "get me?" What if I want a Yaris that I keep forever, AND an IQ? I mean, please man, I am trying to be civil here. There is no need to attack me when I post. This was a perfectly legitimate post. There is no need to research me, stalk me, or memorize all of my posts, and try to "get" me. Plese, my friend, just leave me alone.

Dear Moderator:
I am not being a troll, and I am not losing my temper. I would just like you to please observe as objectively as possible what is happening in this post. I asked a very legitimate question, then people started insulting and mocking me. I am not going to respond in anger or anything else. In fact, I am not going to respons to this thread anymore, to avoid any problems. But please, please, just observe objectively how this thread progressed, and whose fault it was. Thank you.

Unlike your play friends at the daycare facility...... I do not have to memorize or research..... It's called having a good memory. I have a knack for remembering things...... plastic versus metal dipsticks......... thousands of paint chips and who can forget.........things that you read? So get off your little bandwagon..... I just brought up facts. First you said you were flattered then you go off on me?

To stay related to this thread take a moment and answer this question ......
How many miles do you have now? I believe this information is relavent to your intention to shoot for a million miles. I have had my Yaris since April and I am coming close to 21,500 miles.

I think it is a fair question. I average 3000 per month. At my current rate of travel I should reach 1,000,000 in about 27 more years.

Feeling paranoid?

I've had my car for 6 months and have 36k miles already. I will probably keep the car until it blows up.
