the red one is a washburn bantam xb120 bass guitar

and the brown is a Parker Hornet pm20 with babinga top and mahogany neck (i bought the parker with xmas money from bonuses, family money etc :) )

i was sick of playing cheap ibanez guitars so i figured this time around it was time for something more substantial

the bantam bass i love.. i'm a big primus fan and this bass has a super bright tone to it which is great for the pop/slap stuff

its also smaller than some bass guitars too which adds to mobility around the neck .. i like it :)

Aw come on. I love my Ibanez. =)

I have an 1984 Ibanez RoadStar II RS135 and just a cheapie Fender Squier 20th anniversary acoustic.

But your guitars are sick. I'll check the link when I get home, my work doesn't like myspace. =/

I've never played any other Ibanez before. But I've also never played a Parker either.

I don't really enjoy playing bass that much, my dad is the bass player of the family.

I've had this Ibanez since I was 6 so I'm pretty partial to it. Alot of sentimental value. =)

nice

back when i was in 7th grade my parents both were working and my dad had guitars in the house .. so of the course of a summer i taught myself to play.. I went to a private christian school and every friday we had chapel .. which had some worship songs and such .. so i joined the chapel band.. everyone and their brother plays guitar but nobody played bass.. so to fill the void i took my dads guild pilot (with a sick tiger eye finish) to school and started playing that.. I really enjoy the bass.. its funky :) so since 7th grade i've bounced between the bass and guitar .. I'm more than strong rhythm guitarist and can do minor lead work .. the bass i have fun with .. on my rocky stuff most of the time i play it pretty straight forward .. one of these days i'll do something more funky

Ah that's awesome.

I was given mine by my neighbor and it didn't work at all and was in extremely bad shape. So from age 6-12 I had no interest in it, it just sat around.

One Christmas my uncle took it without me knowing and had the electronics fixed and had the whole neck relacquered and everything. It looked (and still looks) brand new.

My dad also bought me a nice amp (Peavey Bandit 65) the same Christmas.

So I've been playing off and on since I was about 13. Definitely just a rhythm guitarist. Not good enough at all to do any lead work yet. I bought a Marshall Stack about 3 years ago and sold the Peavey.

Just got my acoustic maybe 3 weeks ago. Good deal on craigslist and had to get it. =)

i usually play into my macbook pro so i dont really need an amp here at the house

the second to last amp i had was a Mesa Boogie S.O.B. sick amp exremely loud.. all tube.. can't beat a mesa :) I wish i never got rid of it.. but i had a slow month back when i was 18-19 and needed to sell it to make rent... oh well

Ah. I wish I had some type of studio software on my pc. Me and a friend that plays drums have been messing around and I've been recording it all on my blackberry, but ugh. Sound quality is just horrible, as expected.

yeah .. the macbook does a fairly good job.. mastering leaves alot lacking .. but who knows maybe if business picks up i'll grab a copy of logic.

i really want to get my hands on a nice electronic drum kit.. so i can give my tracks a more organic feel rhythm wise.. but they arent cheap

Yeah. I've seen a few of those on my local Craigslist for 700+. Eek.

We have been using the Guitar Hero World Tour studio +drumset for our electronic set. haha.

Yeah. Its pretty cool. They have a lot of different sound types to choose from. Get a good system (which you have) and you're set.

It's not as good as an electronic drumset, but for the price, the game is good anyways. =)
