A few years ago I had BB install a car kit for an XM radio that I already owned. I purchased a new car kit and they went about installing it. I pulled out of the install bay and went to turn out of the parking lot and the XM radio stopped working! So I go back into the store and tell the guy that I bought the car kit from that it stopped working. They brought it into the install bay and the installer ty-wrapped the antenna lead to the steering column! As soon as I made a turn, it snapped! They actually had the nerve to try and charge me for another car kit. Made me show the receipt from the purchase from an hour before! The install manager then says that I should have checked it before I left the bay, (which I did) and they're not liable once it leaves the bay. Took about another 2 hours to settle the matter in which they replaced the antenna and installed the new one. Won't go there again.

take it to another BB if one is in your area, show them your install invoice and tell them about what happened. They will take care of you, If they are impolite or not accommodating, ask to see there manager.
Like the other BB installer said about, I'd write my other installer up if I knew he did an install like that. -Nick P.S. - I allow people in my bay, but you have to be behind the "line" or roped off area B/c OSHA. |
