Going back to the basic question: Why There Are Less Good People?

IMO it is because people are afraid to be sued. America is dominated by
sue-u-crazy people; means to a fast buck? This is sick.

Am glad they still are good-hearted people around who are willing to make a difference. Hope people here will stand up when their turn comes around.

They all died trying to save the ones who were too dumb too look both ways.

dude got hit in a STREET. that's the definition of jaywalking. You don't get "get out of jail free" cards for being a good Samaritan.

Maybe the driver of the car said the women were going to make it, and then some random guy comes running across the road and jumps into his grill??

I mean, give the guy a break. He risked his life to save others.

Canadians are not as likely to lose their house to a lawyer; it doesn't mean that they are not Out There. A local was hit in a crosswalk, and the FIRST thing she did was contact a hotrock lawyer. I hope she loses big time. Did I mention that her daughter lives in California? Hmmm.

So far, we are doing fairly well, with few exceptions.

The ticket has been withdrawn.

But the point was he did break the law despite his good intentions, and his actions were contributory to the accident. I applaud him for his good deed in helping the two old ladies across the street; but he could've gotten everyone killed and that was the point the police were trying to make.

He really should've used better judgment when helping the ladies across the road.

Cheers! M2
