Well, I don't plan on doing that anytime soon since I need to save my $$$ for bigger and better things (like a house). But, car modding is in my blood and driving me crazy to leave it stock. lol

Feels good when people compliment about your car, this is one example...

My friend owns a brand new Volvo and he let me drive it, so I let him drive my Yaris... he wrote me an email a few hours later...

"The Yaris drives really nice! Much better than I thought"

I also felt very good drinving my car after trying the fancy Volvo.

And I can tell many 09 Corollas looking at my car trying to figure out!

and YES you should FEEL very GOOD about your new 3D hatch, you will have great moments and just wait until breaks in, how soft and nice they feel.

Enjoy!

Yea I've had several people ask what kind of car it is since I changed out the front badge and de-badged the rear.

Oh and congrats on your new car and good luck house-hunting.

As we were de-badging both my car and my mom's (she got one one last Friday - we are a Yaris family now)... my brother thought he would be funny:

My boss always makes fun of my Yaris, he says he has a ice box box for my car.

My husband calls my Yardog a "Fisher Price: My First Car" which is pretty funny, because right off the show room floor stock it does remind me of a small plastic childs toy car lol

Another story: I live in MN and over the winter my boss (who works in our Jacksonville, FL office and drives a Matrix) gave me crap about having a bit harder-than-average time getting through the snow - one day I called her and was gripping about it, and without missing a beat she replied "What? Tonka doesn't sell a plow attachment for your car?"

LOL

It at least makes me laugh ... :)

I thought my eyes had gone bad after seeing that.
Hey KRAZGRL, is your tint legal or is it just the way the picture was taken?

I have gotten a bunch of nice look paint jobs and do you think it could shine any more.

But the few that stick out are…
If you add water will it grow?
My daughter has a car about that size. After looking in there car at her kid you she she’s about 7.
I bet you get good gas mileage. When you tell them I get 46 and my wife gets 43 driving on the highway they want to know more.
When I do to a full service gas station and ask for a fill her up and he dose not have time to check the fluids when the pump stops and asks; I thought you said it was empty and you have 390 miles on that tank (about 9 gallons).

Not legal to CA specs... Dark in the front, limo in the back. I know a couple of people that could sign off the fix-it ticket if/when I get one. *knocks on wood that I don't*

I've received a few unexpected compliments on the Yaris too. A few co-workers thought my red two-door hatch looked sporty even though the car is all stock.

I was driving around after getting lunch in between classes, and I was on the highway when a newer v-tech sedan civic was behind me. He downshifted and passed/flew by me in the lane next to me. When we were coming up to the light he stopped so we would line up. He wanted me to roll down my windows. He's like "what kind of car is that?" I told him it's a yaris and it's supercharged. He's like "that's a nice car! I like your wheels. See you later." And we drove off in a safe manner.

THENNNNN

In the school parking lot walking back to my car, a guy was parked near me. he was waxing his hood in the parking lot (odd). Anyways, he's like, "nicee car. I love your wheels. i have the same ones on my car." I showed him my supercharger and he couldn't believe it. He loved everything about it. He ended up having a 600whp m3 BMW. He's supposedly put 10k in the engine and does his own carbon fiber. I got his number and we are now friends. Aww how sweet!

All of this in one day. I need to get use to this.
