Will I get my increase in MPG at 5000 miles?

I keep an EEE PC with me all the time and have a running spreadsheet of each fillup - Date, Mileage, Gallons Added, Miles Driven on Last Tank, and MPG.

I see hypermiling kind of like trying to lose weight.... there are no shortcuts... you can't just do it a few days a week otherwise you wont see the results you want... it has to be a lifestyle change, it's work, but, fun, and with nice satisfaction each time you fill up and think... wow... I got 4x.xx miles per gallon on that last 450miles.
