there are like 100 threads on this topic
the project was cancled due to the poor economy, there was an artical a long time ago from toyota talking about why toyo/sub will not be doing it. Mostly due to the poor car sales/economy, also it would be sold as a subaru over here / toyota over seas |

idk this article here is pretty recent... says it hasn't been canceled. i don't see why poor car sales would keep toyota from trying to sell cars. that's kinda what they do...
