Sorry. Had a busy weekend. Had an SCCA event. I rough sketched some ideas. Now I just need to make some measurements and get back under the car. I may not be able to get them powdercoated since the guy I use went out of business. I will search around though.

Good news everyone interested. I made an order for some metal. The design is done for now. I got all of my measurements done. As soon as I get to a scanner I will upload the sketches. I don't have to commit to just one design since I will be able to make almost all of my ideas pretty easily.

I will be making these at a very decent price. Still looking for someone to powdercoat them though.

Sounds good :) Would you be able to sell them uncoated at a lower price?

well thats my plan. i figure most people here have access to paint or powdercoaters. Plus you could do it any color you want.

as soon as I get back home to my scanner. I plan to start this week if my material gets here. I am prototyping one out of some scrap thin stock. Its easier to play with

what do you mean by engrave? Do you want a word on it? If thats what you want then I don't have that tool anymore. However there is a guy locally that has the equipment and the software to put almost any design onto almost any material. I can talk to his son and see what could be done.
I don't have any plans to put anything on the metal, but I may etch my sn on the top part that mounts on the car where you would only be able to see it if when the hook isn't mounted.

Will these by any chance be functional once completed?

They should be. I am not going too thick, but I plan on matching the benen thickness. Now I will say that I claim no responsibility for them. I don't have the ability to test them in a lot of stress situations. The mounts and bolts will be big enough.

Sounds good enough to me! If you don't mind me asking, what are you making them out of?

steel. They will be one peice with a small weld at the bend for a little bit of strength. But that part won't be seen.
