I know cali. But if all what i want to do with my car, I go at tuner shop, I NEVER got the experience for to do my own setup later. I have 2 good peaple with for help me. One with a subaru wrx with STi convertion and other one that y work on her Nissan Silvia K's, sr20det rebuilt, with new setup turbo for maybe 400 whp.

I very not ready for to do this project. But it's not for tomorow this project. I start this with a the base. Read, read read and read yet. I can imagine the base of a setup turbo. But, I need to learn very some informations and this is for this reason that I talk to you about this project and this is not on clubecho-yarisquebec that I found all of the nessesary informations. I respect them also!

So, tanks for your help.

Maitre, sounds good, I'm glad you have a "team" that will help you with a successful boosted car!

camelll, I had trouble making the FIC work, both the problem you mention and idling. After that I drove the car on the ECU alone. I couldn't run it 'all out' that way (WOT to redline, racing, etc), it was lean over 5000rpm, so at 8psi it definitely needs some management. Ran pretty good with normal driving though. I THINK it might handle 5-6psi without management, but no one has tried that as far as I know.

Sorry i was high on percs for my wisdom teeth when i wrote that, but you do need either a bov or recirculating valve and i would consider an AFR gauge, oil pressure, and boost gauge the 3 essential ones. But expect tuning to take up the majority of the time as garm said if you don't have previous experience with it.

@giupo -- I used the FIC and I also used no management at all. This did not affect when the turbo spooled up and produced boost. I think we must have different manifold and different piping routes to explain the difference.

Do you have a pic of your turbo manifold and your intercooler piping, the way it is routed?

As for piggybacks, I had bad luck with the FIC (which does not mean someone else can't get it right!), and no experience with Greddy on the Yaris.

I believe PeterPoop is going to try and tune with the Greddy, I'm curious to see how that turns out. Anyone else in the USA?
