The C64 has the same 6th gear as the C150 5spd. Both .815, but the C64 has a 4.5 final as the C150 is only 3.5.

The C64 is used in the Lotus and I think the Corolla XRS. But all other gears are the same.

I remember driving a '03 Yaris RS (Puerto rico spec.) that has the C152 in it. Same gears as the C52 from the '00~ Celica GT. With a 1.904 2nd gear and the 4.058 final you could do a burnout starting in 2nd.

The C160 on the other hand has an even low 2nd gear and lower final. So I can only imagine how a hard launch would do from 2nd.

Edit: Oops, went on a little rant there. Yes the C60/160 does have a higher 6th to the Yaris 5th, but the final is so much lower on the C60/160 that the end result is still more revs at the same speed.

I own the C160 6psd transmission mated with a 1NZFE turbo. The gears are close ratio and it keeps on reving much more than normal 5spd trans.

When launching with high throttle the 1st gear complete in almost 4sec and 2nd gear in almost 2sec. Infact during drag races I usually launch with 2nd gear since it's pretty low aswell.

The main reason I installed the C160 since the trans is capable of more bhp compared to the C54 (stock one) and because it has the Limted Slip Differential.

Why would you need a 6spd trans?

well yes, the final drive is different so you'd have higher rpms on the highway....but i was talking about removing the gears from a c60 and puting them into a c54 housing (or whatever the code for the yaris tranny is) so you could keep your stock final drive and use the c60 gears...

would that work? c54 final drive w/ c60 gears in a c54 bell housing?

I just remembered that I had previously looked up both input and output shafts between the 5 spd and 6spd and they are totally different. Also, the final drive gear is part of the output shaft.
