Just checked Kaminari's website looks like the price was reduced to $695. I would definitely be interested in a groupbuy for like $595 C2AutoSPL can you make this happen?

my intention to import kits has fallen through but importing kits and making a decent proffit after shipping and overhead on similar kits would be around $650 - I assume theyre making a killing selling 'made in the US' kits price matched to overseas.

you can't really compare this kit to a c-one or ings kit. ings is dealer optional equipment in japan and is used in super taikyu race series as is c-one...there was a lot lot lot more design time and quality control/production work put into them. the shipping overseas is actually not too bad when you ship a full container, it's the actual cost of the kit in japan that is high. Even if you were in Japan and bought the kit domestically at todays exchange rate it'd run you between $1900-$2000.

This is a very good price for the kaminari kit, even if it's on the high side of the initial pricing. I would expect the quality to be of moderate grade and consistent from kit to kit, but it won't be comparable to a high end kit from Japan.

No, the rear skirt is designed to have the "center exhaust' port added.
It will be a bolt on piece.
