Ride quality is subjective. But I have the TRDs and I think the ride is just fine. I bit more firm than stock...but nothing harsh. I am rolling on 15s though and I'm sure that helps my overall ride.

Have you driven on "really bumpy" roads, like was asked? Because if that's not harsh, I don't know what is. It feels fine 99% of the time, but on uneven roads, it sucks.

Oh yes...I have a few bumpy roads I drive on. But that's why I said ride quality is subjective. What's bad to one person may not be that bad to someone else. That was my only point.

Thanx for advice! I plan on doing both mods near December. Im going to use tein lowering springs instead.
