The rear 1/4 panel was fine. The guy at the autobody shop that Toyota HQ contracts out all of their repairs to said there was NOTHING on the car that couldn't be fixed, all that was damaged were replaceable body parts, and my exhaust was bent.. The car was 69% damaged, and apparently my insurance totals it out after 70%. They said they were going to fix it on Tuesday, and then they called back yesterday and said they changed their minds. WTF.
Rain - hey, I remember you! I was thinking the same thing about just getting a paint job done. My mom is going to figure out what 2011 models she can order from Japan in the next week or so, I am leaning towards getting another Yaris or possibly a Scion IQ if it's available for employees to order. I might go for a red one if yellow is no longer offered. |

Collision frequency can depend strongly on where and when you live and drive. Big cities and rush hour traffic are bad, and I've been able to avoid those situations for most of my life. The periods where I did live in a big city I seldom drove anywhere, and never ever during rush hours. Oh yeah, winter weather and dark twisty roads in places like New England are also collision producers. Numerous things like that. I just avoid driving or parking in areas that seem dangerous (to the car).

No, I think 2009 was the year they changed the S kit to look like that and I don't think they've changed anything on the car since (at least I haven't noticed anything different on my friend's newer Yaris).
But yes, I did get to special order it. Waited a good 4 months for it to come in, but I got what I wanted without having to go through dealerships and such. Just glad my mom hasn't retired yet so I can order a new one soon |

They are giving me a red Yaris S LB soon to drive until I get my new car (whenever that is). Right now I'm in a red Corolla S and I feel like a soccer mom.

lol hey don't be too hard on him. he admitted that "sex appeal" were the wrong words... I can't say I agree with him, as I love how the Yaris looks, however.

I know! I went to a few when I first got my Yaris back in '08, but since i've been working full time and going to school full time I haven't had time. I finally graduated though (two days before my Yaris was totaled, great grad present huh?) so I'll have to start coming to them.

I'd be suprised if they didn't have yellow...all of the TRD / sport package Yaris's from the 2010 campaign were Jolt yellow. It looks really good on that one
