Actually, for what we were discussing above, just a tap splice is all that is needed.

Yeah, that was what I am going to do.

I just wasn't too sure what he meant by jumper cable.

So, in CTScott's picture above, as long as the wires from 3 is connected to 13 with a splice, the fog lights will come on with the park lights?

Yep.

Just make sure to wire the rest the oem way and you are set.

Correct. And Ray's (1NZ's) pigtail pictured above, lets you do the mod without cutting into the OEM wires. With his you pop the pins, connect them to his one pin connectors, and the splice happens within his harness.

I appreciate the help. I'm not installing the fog lights myself. A custom shop is doing it, and although they say they've done these before, I printed out all these instructions to make sure the lights get wired up to the parks. I'm getting the fogs installed at the same time I get 3 little dings fixed.

Although the separate switch is nice, it would never work for me. I'd be calling for a jump all the time (leaving them on).

In that case, check out my headlights off with ignition DIY. My Subaru had auto off headlights, and I got so used to it that I kept leaving my Yaris' lights on:

By "fog lights on with the parking light switch", that means they are on when the stalk is in the middle position, off when in off position, and off in the running light position? Or do the fog lights also go on with normal running lights on (stalk in "night"/running lights position)?

I'm on the fence about fog lights pending a proper way to get a switch solution for them.

Do the park light mod instructions come with the kit as well as the jumpers?
Just ordered mine.

what color are your headlight HID's?

blue is 10000k to 12000k usually. could get a set of H11 to match.

You need a foglight kit + an HID kit, right?
