It's 4.4 on an Echo, so i'd imagine similar time on a Yaris.

finally got the correct input seal in and I removed the trans to find the input shaft seal is INSIDE the transmission. I had to completely disassemble the entire transmission to replace the seal the job took me 7 hours I'm just glad we had the 4 different pullers needed to remove fifth gear and pull the input shaft bearing out to replace the seal. everyone needs to take a peak under their car to make sure your not leaking gear lube as well.
on a side note the trans is very easy to pull and you do not need to remove the subframe.

Wow, sounds like a bad design that's not readily servicable for something as simple as a little seal. DIY hell!

I wonder if Toyota would tend to replace the whole tranny vs. keeping a tech down for 7 hours changing a seal.
Kinda glad I got the auto though I originally really wanted the stick.....

the new clutch (sachs) also feels way better than the stock clutch it doesn't feel like an on off switch anymore I can now take off nice and smoothly.

Yes i did adjust the pedal a little,i have very little play in the pedal now i did it because i wanted the clutch to engage sooner, it helps.I also relocated the switch behind the clutch.Now i can press it with my finger instead of having to slam the clutch to the floor on startup.

Every manual car I owned, was hard to put in reverse. All you have to do is "advance" an inch and then put it into reverse, then it's goes in easily.
