Yeah just saw today the price jumped up 4¢/L overnight. That works out to what, over 20¢ a gallon in the US? And our Canadian dollar is stronger right now too.

Here in NJ gas is the same price its been all winter. About $2.93 a gallon for Sunoco which is not the cheapest you can find by any means.
Now we're doomed! |

So now it will cost $0.10 per mile instead of $0.08 per mile to drive a Yaris!

I'm ok with rising prices now. After driving around my 11mpg Cruiser for years, the Yaris is freakin awesome.

By the way, since we have representation on here from all over the globe, could folks kindly put the location and volume of measurement (liter, US gal, UK gal) along with the currency used? It tends to be a little less confusing that way! ![]() Cheers! M2

We refill both YARIS for less than $42 ($3.50 a gal.) when they're at around 1/2 a tank each . Can't wait for warmer weather , summer blend , and changeover to all season tires .

I filled up my '98 Rav4 on Tuesday, when gas was $3.15 a gallon, drove by the same station this morning (3 days later) and gas was $3.45 a gallon, all for 87 octane fuel. I live just outside of Wilmington NC, which is a major port city and has giant sea going tanker ships delivering fuel all the time. We are paying out the wazoo for unrest in the Middle East, when we don't even get that much fuel from these areas, it's like 10-15% and prices are still going up. These dirty politicians with their hands in the pockets of the big oil companies, have conspired to kick us in the butts all the way to the bank!!!

That's the only bright side when gas prices goes up. Laughing at all the SUV/Hummers/Truck owners.

It's easy to laugh at truck owners, but in my case it's a fact of life, I have to use my truck. None of my other Toyotas are able to do what my Tundra does, between towing my 14' open trailer with building materials, tractors, and even cars, to my 20'x8.5' enclosed trailer, that hauls my Celica racecar, nothing else will do it. At the current price here, it will cost me nearly $80 to fill my Tundra, and if I baby it I might get 20-22mpg empty, if I have to tow the enclosed trailer with a load, I'd be luck to get 13-15mpg. If my wife hadn't just found a new job after being laid off before Thanksgiving, I'd really be scrambling just fo keep fuel in my fleet!!
