If I am elected President I pledge to adopt the wage scale of China as a way to fix our economy. Thus the country would be returned to economic sanity on the backs of the workers.

A side benefit would be perhaps you car would become economical to repair!

It's official. Write-off.

Now looking for another car. I might spend some extra $$ and get a Corolla S. I drive a lot and wouldn't mind something more comfortable, quieter, and smoother running.

We have one (Jetta TDI).....it's my wife's....I just do the maintenance.
Automatic (DSG transmission) needing fluid change every 40k....$400+ at the stealership, or ~$150 DIY
The TDI forum is awesome.....just like this one for the Yari

Regarding the totaled Sedan.....really glad everyone is ok.....

What they go for...$25,000?

Diesel fuel (in NJ) $3.75 a gallon.

Gas is $3.09.

Yaris is $15,000.

So you save $10,000 AND its costs less or the same to put fuel in.

Yaris...its a no brainer!
