Two boxes went out yesterday. Very few peanuts, no room. LOL
Last box goes out approx. Tuesday, but I'll make sure you have your stuff for the weekend.

And so It begins
The parts came in, all that is left is the intake, exhaust, and scangauge II.
Garm was sneaky and hid some of my parts in with the front sway bar took me a sec to catch on. That MI Crank Pulley is a sexy part, If I where only a Machine. Last edited by Golddeenoh; 05-15-2012 at 06:00 PM. |

Update
Well it was a long starter day but I got the Header, Crank Pulley and the Strut Tower Brace on. I was going to do it front to back but since I didn't get it all in today I went ahead and put on some of the harder items I have. I was going to put on the Front Sway Bar But I Don't have the Equipment to drop the cradle to do that so that will have to be done by someone with a shop(decided this after 3 hours of trying to get the OEM sway bar out).
I Notcied that my OEM header isn't the cramped looking style that I usually see people replacing. When taking the OEM header out remove the heat shield to better access the bolts. I would then suggest getting under the car and taking the two spring bolt connecting the Mid-pipe and header out. while down there you may want to take the bolt out of the bracket on the side of the manifold. then precede to the bolts on the head besure to get the cable for the O2 sensor out of the way. The Pulley is not only beautiful but you can easily feel the difference in weight. from what i gathered the pulley is supposed to be at 90ft pounds but it didn't even get to put that much on it to get the bolt out so it apears that it isn't even set to 90 factory so I will double check and see what it is supposed to be at, right now it is at 60ft/lbs. |

^ hehe, yeah!
yes, the front sway bar is a PITA without a lift -- not that many bolts, but the subframe has to come down. Pretty sure the pulley needs 90 ft/lbs. I wouldn't drive (hard) until you settle that.

Everything is coming together nicely! I was wondering if the bolt on the pulley was left handed threads or not? Mine should be here tomorrow or thursday and i would hate to go the wrong way and break the head. I also remember reading the DIY on a pulley install and they actually use some blue locktight when installing the new one.

it is normal thread. check the torque on it before you take it off, mine came lose really easily makes me wonder if it was as tight as it should have been or I am stronger than i thought i was.

You would think with little locktight and a real snug pull on the wrench that it be fine then Haha.

What is the point of the flywheel upgrade. I remember a thread about performance, but it seems a limited bonus like a cai.

tied a rope through the pulley and to the lower control arm. as soon as it hit 90ft/lbs the rope snapped. now to do the grond wire and fog lights.

fog lights are functioning, the last 2 boxes arrived at 0930 so the intake and exhaust will go on tomorrow. can't wait to hear what it sounds like with all of that everything on.
I can hear the exhaust going through the header when I am under load, gets me a little excited :D |
