thanks for the quote, i don't have money to burn yet for this upgrade, (although i can afford the wiring, thanks to you) i'll let you know once i've saved up for the mirrors.
For the retract, it is simply a function of the power mirror switch. No additional module is required.

cool, so it's not like the older honda (jdm) that needed a retract module? i understand the wires just reverse polarity to activate the motor in either direction, but isnt that going to cause battery drain? i mean, although it is wired to IGN On and that the motor stops at the hint of it being fully in or fully out, but does the 12V supply stop too?

The switch module handles the polarity switching and limit switches keep it from drawing current when not in use.

Hmmm... not sure? I could take better pictures with an actual camera, if needed.

The connector in the second picture (where I believe I also saw bigfoot and the loch ness monster) looks like the correct one for the power mirror switch. It is a ten pin single row connector with 7 positions occupied with wires. I have one of the switches for sale if you need the switch.

I saw. That's what reminded me of this thread and prompted me to take the pics

Just gonna see if there's any meteorite gray power mirrors for sale somewhere... and figure out how to swap them...

You don't need gray ones. Buy a cheapo aftermarket ebay set (they come with unpainted black covers) and pop your covers on. That's what I did with the red one.

Finally finished with the wiring and installation of these power folding mirrors. im still to have them painted tomorrow though, as i just retouched on the paint with clear coat.

scott and the entire community, thank you for all your support. i was able to do everything by myself. (even freelance mechanics--our motown "banawe" is full of them--had fun watching me doing everything for 3 straight hours)
it's actually a good thing that i didnt purchase the harness from you as the connector for the units here are different from what the rest of the world gets.

As my response is on the other topic, im not sure. But definitely there is at least one other toyota car that uses the same mirrors, worst case is youll have to transfer it to your side mirror base. The 2008-2012 yaris sedan, 2008-12 corolla, 2007-11 camry, auris, yaris, 2009 scion xd all use the same mirror assembly with different base (attachment to the door).

There really isn't enough info in that listing to say if they are OK or not. (They say OEM but have no part number info or anything of that nature). Wiring means running wires through the doors to the under dash junction box and tapping the appropriate wires.
