i am not sure what you mean by cut and buff, but buffing (if that is paint), you will just need to use 1400 grit sandpaper. wet sand the are until not as rough as orange peel. (yes the fruit).
after which, you polish with buffing compound. don't use the over-the-counter 3M ones, they are too strong and doesnt finish well. (and quite expensive since you'll be needing a lot) |

He buried the paint under two thick coats of clear at least. Should be getting the car back from the local guy tomorrow.
