Just did a fill of the '11 FIT and it got 39.578 m.p.g. ( 357 mis. / 9.02 gals. ) . The low fuel light came on just before fill up . The light comes on when 1.6 gallons remain , it had 1.58 gallons left out of the 10.6 gallon tank . Filled it up with VALERO 87 w/E10 at 1 click of nozzle . The display showed 38.6m.p.g. overall .

N&C , you can see the past F.E. for the FIT here , http://www.fuelly.com/driver/cinder/fit . That's if you want to .

I would think that better gas mileage could be possible with a 5 speed manual FIT . Test drove one and the clutch was quite smooth and the shifting the same . The MAZDA 2 has the easiest clutch of all cars tested out .

! because I'm hoping this means you can 'assign' the 'main date' (fill up date) when entered on a different date. Is that correct? If so, do you know if there is any limit to that feature re the space between dates? I'd only be interested in using it if I could take my entire log book (the gas entries) from delivery date on and enter all the fill ups.

Fuelly is a great site. I religiously enter my fill ups. But I have only had my Yaris for just under a year and 1/2.

Great site! Signed up right away after the Yaris purchase, and I, too, have been entering every fill-up...It's amazing looking at some of the MPG's of some of the cars out there...especially the gas guzzlers. Not missing that 2003 Trailblazer AT ALL! |

To be honest, the Fit is actually a really nice car. I like my 2012 LE and all, but after almost a year of driving, I have to say some parts leave me underwhelmed. The interior is a bit too plasticky for my liking, and the ride is quite hard when I compare it to my friends Fit. I still like my little mean machine, but still it feels like it's falling just a tiny bit short of what it could really be.

Talked to a guy a few days ago and was told he loved his Fit but was a little disappointed in the gas mileage. I guess it would be hard to go wrong with either the Fit or Yaris!!!!!!!

This is the usual gas mileage for the '11 base model FIT with the 5 speed auto . The other 1/2 drives it most the time . Did a fill yesterday of VALERO 87 w/E10 at 1 click of gas nozzle . . 289.1 mis. / 7.65 gals. = 37.8 m.p.g.. Overall gas mileage is 37.4 for 47 fills since 5/9/12 .

that is one reason I wasn't drawn to the fit. I borrowed my friends '10 fit auto for 3 weeks last summer while I was without a car. my commuting route gave me just under 39 mpgs, where I was getting 44.9 in my fiat 500 and am now getting over 44 in my yaris (and that with winter gas in play now).

My 2012 LE automatic is averaging 38.5 with about 70 % city and 30% hiway driving.
