This ^^^^^. If Toyota included them in the move, I'd drive up to Plano to see them.

Because they were show cars, and as was mentioned, by law they must be crushed or Toyota must certify they are roadworthy, which is an absurd amount of money.

basically this is another area where our evil government has gotten insanely greedy and controlling for absolutely no reason.

well at least you're governement "controls" something that concerns the general public. here, the government only controls the upper half of the society. they don't control the less fortunate ones (jeepney drivers, bus drivers, street vendors, peddlers, etc.) who cause a lot of trouble on the road. Why? because the bulk of their voters during election time is from them.
