I just replaced the front wiper on my 2012 Yaris. I bought a 28" Valvoline-branded Gold wiper from Kmart for $12. I measured my original wiper and it was 30", but the longest one I could find at the store was 28". Seems to work just fine.

the wiper blade is 30", go to toyota and spend $5 on a ruber replacement, keeps the rest of the frame.

Rubber refills is the way to go, I learned how to install them on this site and youtube. Both were a great help.

I'm just saying the cost... The 30" refill would cost at least as much.

refill

I just had the 30" rubber refill blade (they called it the wiper insert) installed in the oem frame at the dealer. It cost $7.27. I had looked at auto parts stores and they only had complete wipers and none looked as good as the oem.

My local dealer wants $12 for the refill. Darn.

The inserts are no fun to install, but I admit, for half the cost of a traditional wiper from Autozone, I'm a satisfied customer.

I think that front single wiper is unique, like on buses. I like it. It was the 1st thing my car pool passenger commented on . I wonder if the swiveling action would work properly during icy conditions ? Would it break ?
