Honda has a spotty history with automatic transmissions, and there is no way I would buy any Honda that wasn't manual. In fact, the 9 new Honda/Acura vehicles that I have purchased from 1980 to 2004 have all been 5-speed manual. My next vehicle (planning on a lower-mileage white 2009-2011 Yaris sedan in July/Aug this year) will be my first non-Honda/Acura vehicle, and possibly my first automatic transmission as well.

It may just be me, but the new Honda Fits look like a compact mini van.

I agree that it does.

Also,that upper, side "character line" groove just look horrible on the latest Fit (someone was watching too many bad Transformers movies). Plus, Honda seems to be loving those ginormous gaping fog-light inlets on their front bumpers (see the latest Civic Coup front and upcoming ILX refresh front AND back bumpers for more examples of this). The Fit also now has those gaping pockets on both the front and the back side bumpers - and the way those rear taillights creep up the back window to the roof-line is just awful-looking. The latest Fit is easily one of the ugliest new cars now on the road.

I don't think the '15 Fit looks good in either the blue or the red . My two favorite colors for most cars....silver, and white. Some cars don't look good in either color. I think the '15 Fit looks good in white, and in silver. I think the 2nd Gen Yaris 3-door looks good in white with either the stock wheels and covers, or aftermarket alloys. However, if I had only been able to find a white '14 manual 3-door and not a silver one, I would have purchased the white one...but I would have looked to get aftermarket alloy wheels. I like the way Tooter's car looks. I don't like the 3rd Gen 3-door in white with the stock wheels/covers.

I also tend to like white. My last three cars (2005 Corolla, 2007 Corolla, 2012 Yaris) were/are white. However, for whatever reason, I think I might try something next for my next car. I'm digging the dark gray (not sure of the official color name) the Toyota offers for the Yaris.

Before the wife got her new car, we looked at a Honda Fit. This was back in September, right after the new models were released. The dealer offered sticker price, no less. We passed and bought something different for her.

Was it a manual though? Harder to find, and (at least in the Houston area) in demand...possibly re it being a 6-speed.

I think the 2015 Yaris looks better than the 2015 Fit, overall. However, the grille on the Yaris is pretty yucky!

Yeah, I would need to buy a black 2015 SE just to tone down that gaping front grill and those ridiculous, mostly-black alloy wheels to acceptable levels - and buying/owning a black/dark car in southern AZ is not something that I would relish doing.

looks like they forgot the middle bumper section....there ya go guys...your first mod to the 2015 is a middle bumper add on.

^^^ I test drove the 2015 Yaris L yesterday. Some things I liked about it. But, that grille was a definite deal breaker. Life is too short to drive a car that ugly... even if it is a Toyota.

That grille is hideous for sure. The best thing you could do is research prior to purchase for an aftermarket body kit and go from there. I am going to be test driving the new Lexus IS 250 and 350 today as I am guuning for one of them to replace my sedan as a daily by end of the year and that Lexus grille is a little tough to swallow as well.

A new F Sport IS was parked next to me this morning. Yeah, the grille is pretty prominent.
