I'm not a red car person and that blue does look really cool. Plus as has already been said that specific blue may no longer be offered anymore so that's kind of special.

The only difference in price is in the options and all those can be bought aftermarket for less money.

If it were me I would go with the blue and buy the other stuff aftermarket. However, if the options were on the blue and not on the red then I would probably still get the blue and not worry about aftermarket options.

just my opinion.. I'm still holding out to buy my Yaris (white LB manual) since 2008 models shouldn't be too far off.

I've read your posts and it sounds as if the red one would fit your sporty nature. I must say I'm with Brickon this one, I'm not a big fan of red but "If it makes you feel good...do it!"
I traded in a '05 Mazda3 for mine and I love it!

It's really helped to have some former Miata drivers say they love their Yaris...I'm pretty attached to the Miata and did a LOT of mostly cosmetic mods to make it my own: custom made Moto Lita 1960's Cobra style wooden steering wheel on a Dakei adaptor, custom black and tan perforated leather seat skins, custom adaptor to fit a reprod OEM Cobra shift ball, aluminum pedals and ebrake handle, roll bar, chrome fuel door and more...looks very vintage sports car...but, after 7 years of Miatas, I'm kind of ready for a back seat, A/C (this last Miata has none), my skin would probably be happy with less sun exposure BUT...I still want to DRIVE, not relax and be driven by a passive, comfortable arm chair on wheels. The other option is to purchase carbon offsets and keep the Miata...$15 a month to Native Energy makes me "carbon neutral", covering the car and the household utility useage...I'm leaving shortly to go test drive the red Yaris...we'll see what happens!!!

Thanks for the input. I see the argument for the blue but, after looking at that one on the lot again yesterday and then a red one down the street from my house...the blue seems too conservative. As for the add ons, I priced them on ebay yesterday and came to I think $205...the dealer price diff btwn this blue and red is $190 so, while I usually bought my Miata stuff on ebay, right now it doesn't seem to be the better choice here, if the choice was simply about the add ons...

I picked my blazing blue over the bayou blue just cuz it's more edgy blue and more... for youngsters, i guess ha.

Just imagine that you've bought the car. Imagine waking up the next day and seeing the car sitting in your driveway.

Which color did you picture in your driveway and did you feel good or disappointed?

There's your answer.
