I am about 90% sure that the older (discontinued) Rostra kit will work with any of the non-US Yaris that do not have cruise control functionality built into the ECM. The newer kits definitely will not as they are just an overpriced version of the parts that I sell and require the ECM to have the functionality.

Hi, I'm from the Ukraine and i have a 2012 Corolla, 1.33 1NR-FE. This version made in Japan only for Russia, Ukraine and other countries of the former USSR. Quation is simply: would cruise work on my Corolla? Because i now, that on 1.6 Corolla it work http://www.toyotaownersclub.com/foru...-instructions/, but in my case it not (( I can tell, I have tried to check voltage between ECM 40 Pin and Ground when ignition On, but result is 0v ! Maybe it not the fact, that ECM for Yaris and Corolla are same? But how to know which pin to check in Corolla 1.33 1NR-FE?

OK. In that case from what I have seen of other Toyota vehicles that use that same connector (the Camry for instance), cruise control is pin 40 of the smaller connector as well. So, that means that you reading 0V on that pin on yours likely means no cruise control for you.

Miserably, but I need to hear it from you to calm down ))
In other words: it just does not provide by the firmware ECM. Anyway, good-bye cruise! |

Hi Guys,
Have been using the CC on my Thailand built Camry for almost 5 months now and enjoying every minute of it. Again thanks to CTScott. |

Hi Scott (or anyone else who might have some insight). My friend has a 2004 Toyota Echo 2 door Hatchback (non RS). He wants to know if there is a DIY Cruise Control method like this for his car as well. He really wants cruise added for his daily work commute. I told him if anyone knows it will be the guys on here.

I bought the stalk for my '10 sedan on ebay, but the car got wrecked before I installed it.
I've got a '12 sedan AT, with what seems to be a partial Power Package (windows only, not locks, etc.). I'm assuming that the stalk is the same? Any idea what the wiring requirements are for this year/model? I've also read the tutorial multiple times, but remain a bit confused about D3. I get that there are supposed to be 3 wires in it-one of them being ground and two that are added-but where is the other end of the wires? |

Thanks Scott, So I'm gathering his best bet would be to find a wrecked RS version (or any one equipped with factory cruise) and just swap over all of the OEM components.

That would be the best bet, as it would be pretty expensive to purchase all of the parts separately.

Did you look at your D3 connector yet? If you have the three wires there, then you just need to install the stalk. If you do not, then one goes to ground and the other to the ECM connector. See my complete DIY below for details: http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33750

It works! Took an hour only because the horn wire broke. D3 was already wired, although the block looks different on the 2012.
Thanks so much for posting this tutorial! |

Thank you so much for this thread! I have a Base Yaris which could benefit from CC.
CTScott, Do you still sell the switch and wires needed to do this modification? |
