I'm looking to get the full set of NST pulleys, but I'm worried about the install since I don't see a DIY on anything but the Crank Pulley... The DIYs for the Alternator and Water Pump Pulley are both blank... any ideas?

We do not build the CR-Lite very often anymore because the majority of our customers prefer the Underdrive Crank Pulley. Compatible with the OEM belt and better performance for n/a or turbo applications.

The ALT & WP Kit includes two pulleys that are the same size as the OEM pulleys they replace. The NST versions are roughly 70% lighter than the OEM pulleys and this weight reduction leads to better throttle response, quicker acceleration, and better MPG. No one using NST pulleys should be worried about the performance of the a/c, the alternator, the water pump, or any other accessory. We take the performance of all accessories very seriously when doing our research and development. We build products that will provide you with excellent performance gains, while keeping ALL your accessories functionality in tact. Go with NST and go happy |

Has anyone who has the crank pulley installed had any problems? You know the whole damper vs no damper debate. Debating whether i should should get the crank pulley or not.

Don't get me wrong i wasn't questioning the quality of the product. I'm pretty sure the pulleys are great. Just thought i would ask. Thanks for the info though, looks like i'll be purchasing these in a few weeks . Just had a honda tech tell me a few years ago that crank pulleys blow oil pumps . Quote:

So I was looking on the NST site and there are three different kits for the yaris. Two of them are sold out though. Which kit should I be looking at? Which would be most beneficial for a daily driver just looking to add a little more pep?

As The Pulley Turns.....
Mine just arrived today!! A complete Red Power Pulley Underdrive set for my liftback. Problem is, they're lonely. They are here but the Yaris is with my wife visiting her family 350 miles away. So close, yet so far... I'll let you know when they find each other and how their relationship develops.

You can read through the many pages of this thread, as your questions have been answered many times, in much detail. Short version... If you plan to stay naturally aspirated you should use NST09010 plus NST09025K If you plan to go supercharged you should use NST09158 plus NST09025K We are currently sold out of our crank pulleys (till May 2009), but you should be able to order these pieces from MicroImageOnline.com Good luck and have fun with all your projects |
