I've found that the intense summer sun is really giving me a tough time with the readability of the LCD. I am back to searching for a more sunlight proof one. If you look at the gas gauge, it is readable 95% of the time. Unfortunately, to get that particular type of LCD, with that good of daylight readability, I would have to have a custom run done of a chip-on-glass LCD.

Anyone who would buy it just like it is, even with visibility problems, post up. I'm suggesting that CTScott could do a nice run of these, and then offer the "new/improved" version later.

I'll continue to wait. I'm a believer in and judging by the effort being put in by CT he is also that if you are going to do something, do it right the first time. I think that is what he is trying to accomplish here, hence the long wait so far. Speaking for myself, I can't really afford the just to get it out product and then turn around to get the new improved version.

I'll buy a first edition regardless of flaws. However I don't want to encourage it if it will delay a perfected version.
